DISAPPEARANCE

When my daughter disappears…so do I
Sssssshh…..don’t tell anyone, especially her.

I dedicate my life to making sure she never feels burdened by my weaknesses and delusions. She doesn't actually disappear, of course, it’s a figure of speech that i'm still figuring out. In actual fact, she goes to her mother's house for two weeks.

I often wonder if it is a strange life having two homes…moving between parents…Though, many of her contemporaries experience the same situation.

I was a forces kid and moved a lot…countries, not between parents, though. my dad was often posted somewhere else while we awaited his return in our Airman’s quarters. Anyway, the coming and going of my daughter is still, after nine years, a pull on the heartstrings….🎶Scream of my Heartbeat!🎶

People said “you will get used to it”, but I realized long ago that they had no fucking idea.

🎶I can't stand up for falling down🎶 or is it 🎶Say Hello Wave Goodbye🎶

She was cooking a pizza the other night. I was sitting at the kitchen table. She was sitting on the floor looking at the pizza in the oven. She looked at me, I looked at her….she popped up into my arms, held on tightly… and we both started crying.
